Andhra Pradesh

It was formed due to the States Reorganization Act of 1956 which merged Telugu-Speaking areas of Hyderabad State.


Arunachal Pradesh

Assam

Assam is an Indian State which is endowed with tea, petroleum, natural gas, coal, limestone and other minor minerals such as kaolin, clay, feldspar and so on.  It is situated between the great Himalayan foothills to the north and the plateau of Meghalaya to the south.


Bihar

Bihar is an eastern Indian state, flourished with Hindu and Buddhist temples and archaeological sites. This state in ancient India was known for its education system. The name `Bihar` is derived from `Vihara`, meaning monastery.


Chhattisgarh

Chhattisgarh is a young state that acquired its state hood recently. It is the tenth largest state of India. It is one of the important states that produce electric power and steel.

Gujarat

Haryana

Haryana is situated in Northern India. It is considered as the grainery of India. Initially it was part of Punjab. On its eastern border lies the Yamuna River. The capital of Haryana is Chandigarh.


Himachal Pradesh

Himachal Pradesh well known as "Snow land" is popular for the Hindu temples and British architectures. Himachal Pradesh is located in the western part Himalayas.


Jharkhand

Jharkhand, one of the eastern Indian states, is dominated by the tribal people of India and this state has many popular tourist destinations. Jharkhand occupies 28833 sq meters and its capital is Ranchi.



Karnataka

Karnataka, an Indian state of southern India, is described as the lofty land with long coastline and waving, palm groves which add to its natural beauty. Bengaluru is the capital of the state.


Kerala

Kerala is one of the most beautiful states of South India. It is also known as God’s own country. Thiruvananthapuram is the capital city of Kerala. The name Kerala is derived from the Sanskrit word "Keralam", which means "the land added on".


Madhya Pradesh

Madhya Pradesh is the Central Province of India which is often called the heart of the country. Madhya Pradesh is now the second largest Indian state. The capital of this state is Bhopal.


Maharashtra

Maharashtra is an Indian state which is dotted with forts, caves, hill stations, shrines and is known for the Hindi film industry. It is the second most populous state as well as the richest state in India.


Manipur

Manipur is a North East Indian state and it is the home of many North East Indian tribes like Kuki Tribe, Naga Tribe, and Pangal Tribe. Manipur was once the Princely State and here the culture is depicted in their dance formations, sports and religion.


Meghalaya

The north eastern state of Meghalaya is one of the smallest states in the country and is a popular tourist hub because of its impressive waterfalls, caves and national parks. The state capital of Meghalaya is the hill station of Shillong.


Mizoram

Mizoram is a gorgeous land of hills, rivers and lakes and has the most multi-coloured topography among all hilly areas in the country. Encircled by the Indian states of Manipur, Assam and Tripura and countries such as Myanmar and Bangladesh, this state has a diverse culture and tranquility.


Nagaland

Nagaland is a mountainous state that is rich in flora and fauna. It is known as "The most Baptist state in the world". The capital of Nagaland is Kohima. It shares its border with Myanmar, Arunachal Pradesh and Assam.


Odisha

Uttar Pradesh

Uttar Pradesh is India`s fourth largest and the most populated state in India. Uttar Pradesh is bordered by Nepal and the Indian states of Bihar, Jharkhand, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Haryana, Uttaranchal and Delhi.


Uttarakhand

Uttarakhand is known as the Land of Gods or Dev Bhoomi, as it is the land of enormous beauty and spiritual bliss. It is believed that the peaks and valleys of this state were abodes of gods and goddesses.


West Bengal

West Bengal is a state that is located in eastern region of the country. It is the fourth most populous state. West Bengal is the place of rich cultural history, which is reflecting in daily lifestyle of Bengali people.
